Artificial Intelligence Summit 2024 held

The GPAI Summit 2024, organized by the the Government of Serbia with the support of OECD – OCDE and UNDP, was held in Belgrade at the Palace of Serbia from December 3rd to 4th.

 

More than 1,000 participants from 45 countries took part. Over the course of 2 days, extremely interesting discussions were held on the application of artificial intelligence in various fields such as biotechnology, autonomous vehicles, healthcare diagnostics, agriculture, education, and more.

 

Representatives of Serbian ITS Association actively participated in the conference, especially in the session dedicated to autonomous vehicles.

 

GPAI is an initiative aimed at establishing global standards and rules for the development of artificial intelligence, as well as accelerating the global progress of artificial intelligence. It was founded in 2020 at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

 

By the end of the year, the Belgrade Declaration is expected to be adopted, which should lay the foundation for the further development of artificial intelligence at a global level.

 

The Republic of Serbia will be the chair of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence for the next three years, with the first and final years as assistant chair, and the mid-term as the main chair.
