In cooperation with the Serbian ITS Association, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering and ERTICO – ITS Europe, a seminar on the topic Getting familiar with ITS initiatives in Europe and worldwide was held on April 8^th 2024 at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering.

 

The seminar was led by:

• Prof. Dr. Dalibor Pešić, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade
• Mr. Miroslav Petrović, Chairman of Serbian ITS Association
• Mr. Vladimir Vorotović, Director of Strategy and Innovation at ERTICO – ITS Europe

 

Seminar main topics were:

• Serbian ITS Association
• ERTICO – ITS Europe
• Getting familiar with ITS initiatives in Europe and worldwide
• Event: „Connecting Europe Days“
• Development state of Intelligent Transportation Systems in Serbia and the region

• Main activities in the implementation of ITS in Serbia

   

Seminar generated significant interest from the professional community. With a full auditorium at the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering, there were over 100 professionals in attendance. Representatives from all modes of transportation, as well as representatives from relevant institutions at both the state and local levels, and representatives from the industry interested in this topic attended the seminar. A large number of audience actively participated in the discussion that followed the speakers’ presentations.

 

On behalf of the Serbian ITS Association, we would like to thank everyone for their active participation and formal and informal discussions on the topic of ITS in Serbia and Europe. We also extend our gratitude to everyone who wished to attend but was unable to do so, and we look forward to future opportunities for collaboration and in person gatherings. For those who were unable to attend and those who are interested in revisiting parts that were particularly interesting to them, we have prepared recordings from this event.
